Took over managing the Hall soon after it opened in March 2015. Is a University of Kent graduate and has worked managing in the events and hospitality industry for a number of years. Now brings that experience to the Hall to ensure we perfect your event.
Has been with the hall for over ten years now and has aided in the transition from council run to the Trust. He has an intimate knowledge of the hall and many of our regular events.
Alice graduated from the University of Kent in 2015 and studied English and American Literature. She is a freelance writer and maintains a strong interest in arts and culture. In her role at the hall, she helps with the facilitation of the website, marketing, and administritive duties.

Born and raised in Canterbury, attended both a local Grammar School and the University of Kent. She has worked in local government policy and strategy for seven years. She has a real belief in the power of communities and the importance of shared community space.
A scientist, was chief executive of a large laboratory run as an expanding profitable business.
Returned to her British roots when she settled in Canterbury in 2009. Mother of four, journalist, volunteer in non-profit organisations in the USA, and decades of moving between countries and continents, have taught her the importance of inclusion and community, action and well-calibrated words.
Dave Wilson has lived in Canterbury since 2012 and is actively involved in a number of local community organisations. His professional experience includes 25 years in international facilities management consulting and 15 years in the hospitality industry, including running catering in theatres, concert halls and arts venues and conferencing.
Moved to Canterbury from London in 2005 with her partner and two children. A professional fundraiser who has worked in the charity sector for over 25 years, she continues to be thrilled when a funder says “yes”.
James grew up in Canterbury and now lives with his family in nearby Whitstable. He is a former councillor on Canterbury City Council, having served Westgate Ward between 2007 and 2015. James joined the Westgate Community Trust as a board member in November 2016.
Famy Rashid has been a resident in Canterbury since 2013, although born in Newcastle and well-travelled. She has focused her career in higher education, specialising in employability with significant previous experience in the youth and voluntary sector and event management. She hopes to grow the hall as a central point for community development activities.
