City Sound Project
by Westgate Hall | 19th April 2016
The 100 year old dance hall, the only dance hall in Canterbury, is Canterbury’s largest events space. Saved from demolition in 2009 to be used by the community, it has since become a beautiful warehouse like space with large visible iron supports spanning the roof and the now instantly recognisable arch-shaped windows. Home last year to headliners Blonde, MNEK, Rae Morris, Tough Love and Canterbury favourites, Coco and The Butterfields. With Canterbury’s longest bar installation, and a huge stage, this space truly take on ‘arena’ status.
